Jewish Amsterdam
Mokum
Say Mokum, you say Amsterdam. Pickled onions and sour, market people, haggling, diamond trading. You name it, but a lot of Amsterdam life also has its roots in Jewish culture.
Not for nothing have these been intertwined since around the 17th century this became the place for Jewish “refugees.
In this tour we tell the story of Jewish Amsterdam, including (war) history, adopted customs, street language, food culture, Amsterdam humor and music.
This tour can be done on foot or by bike!
